John Padavan is Vice President of the Gas and Water Division. He directs operations and supervises all aspects of utility installations and improvements. His responsibilities include planning, allocating personnel, budget accountability and coordination with local authorities and utility owners. Under his leadership, Linde crews have built utility lines for PG Energy, PA American Water, Aqua Pennsylvania and PP&L Utilities as well as a myriad of other rural and municipal utility owners. Specialty projects include installations of high pressure steel gas pipelines using computer-guided directional drilling technology as well as the installation of cross country environmentally challenging gas lines. John has been in the gas and water business for over 40 years and he likes the Linde approach. “I worked with other companies in the past,” he recalls. “The difference with Linde is that we get support and encouragement from the top. The key is to perform. We promote from within and we look for people to perform. You don’t get that a lot in this business.”
