Bob Bayer

Bob Bayer is the Division Manager of Gas and Water Distribution for Linde’s Utility Division. Bob bids jobs and sets them up. This includes finding subcontractors, making sure “one calls” are taken care of, marking out jobs and attending pre-construction meetings. Once the job starts, Bob minds the needs of the project and gets involved in contract changes and change orders. At the end of a project, Bob closes out the job and oversees restoration. Bob Bayer studied Surveying and Construction Management at Penn State and did many years of road and bridge work before joining Linde in 1996. “I prefer a new job over a rehab job,” says Bob. “New jobs give you the satisfaction of watching something on the planning board come to life, knowing you had a hand in it.”
