Joe Grabin is in Project Development for Linde Corporation. Among his activities, Joe coordinates operation of Carbondale Transload and Sayre Transload. Marcellus pipe, drilling fluids and swamp mats travel here by rail for use in the gas fields. Joe got it started. He’d been flying part-time for Linde in 2005. In 2007 Joe mentioned the new Marcellus Shale activity and Scott suggested that he investigate. Joe connected with Cabot, then Chesapeake, Exco, Encana, Range Resources and others. Joe’s idea to move goods by rail led Linde to partner with TRAC to develop the Carbondale and Sayre rail yards. “We were able to offer something to a variety of companies,” Joe recalls. “But the directional boring opened doors to water jobs and pipe jobs. If you do one thing well for these people, you get to do other things.”
