Mike Walsh is Superintendent of Projects for Linde Corporation’s Marcellus Division. Mike schedules all work, equipment and manpower for each job task. Mike handles job-specific decisions, revenue estimates and change orders. Mike Walsh is a classic Linde success story. He joined the company in 1988 as a laborer and moved up to operator where he ran every piece of Linde equipment including cranes, dozers and excavators. From there Mike was elevated to foreman and then to superintendent. “With Scott (Linde) you need a good work ethic,” says Mike. “You’ve got to have the drive and want to do the job.” Since 2009 Mike says Linde’s challenge is keeping good people. “You can change jobs easily in a market with full employment,” he says. “The key to successful projects is to have good people around you.”
