Company Evolution

Linde Corporation has grown through a continuous evolution of business markets including rebuilding Wyoming Valley infrastructure after Hurricane Agnes Flood of 1972, to installing complete wastewater facilities under the Clean Water Act in the early 80’s, to Big Box site development in the 90’s, to supporting the Marcellus Shale development boom during its Pennsylvania establishment in the 2000’s to present. Currently the transition to Renewable Energy appears to be solidly in our future.

Today their in-house team is comprised of 150+ individuals in addition to many more subcontractors, supported by 500+ pieces of well-maintained equipment. President Scott Linde likes to refer to their Team as “plumbers with big wrenches.”

Commitment to NEPA

Scott Linde has made his passion for environmental preservation a company hallmark. He was an early board member of the Lackawanna River Corridor Association whose mission was protecting the river from acid runoff from old coal mines. Scott was a founding member of Rail/Trail, helping to acquire enough land access to develop a 39-mile corridor in Northeastern PA and is also a recipient of several conservation and river stewardship awards and affiliated with numerous environmental and construction industry associations. The conversion of Yucca Flats in Forest City to Lackawanna River Park will get underway soon, thanks to the efforts of Scott Linde, the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation, and others who has been actively engaged with Vision 2000 since inception and principal proponents of the project.

Through their impressive growth, Linde Corporation has remained committed to the people of NEPA by improving the quality of life in our area. In all they do, they are focused on the safety and welfare of their teams, communities, and the environment. They have never lost sight of the reason for their existence, building infrastructure to support both the residents and businesses of the area, by restoring, maintaining, and improving the quality of living and economic opportunities.

According to Robert Hessling, Linde’s Treasurer/Controller, “We switched our banking relationships to ESSA and really enjoy working with them. Their responsiveness and customer service are outstanding.” ESSA equally enjoys our banking partnership with Linde Corporation and are thankful for their trust and business.
