From our modest beginning, Linde Corporation's story is one of continual growth and evolution in the way we serve Northeastern Pennsylvania and our area’s infrastructure. This growth has only been possible through a culture of safety, of smart investment, and commitment to our people, industry partners, the communities of NEPA, and the environment that we all share.

Committed to Safety

George Sprague, our Safety Director, has a saying that “We are all a member of the safety team” and we take that statement very seriously. It’s up to every person on the job site to keep themselves, and those around them safe.

Every hire begins their career at Linde with safety training, and that training continues until you retire. This culture of safety is a primary component to Linde being awarded the NCI Award of Excellence in Risk Control

Investing into our People

At Linde, we keep our team busy and happy - steady work, a good rate and benefits, you are arrive safe, and get home to your family safe, every day. Beyond that, we take pride in the work we do. Sure some projects are simple and straight forward, but across our four divisions, there are no shortage of challenges, and in our opinion, those challenges are what bring the rewards.

Rewards extend beyond a sense of pride. Many members of our leadership team started as laborers and moved up through the ranks. This is not something that naturally happens at most organizations. When we recognize drive and talent in an employee, and an opportunity arises for us to expand our capabilities, those employees get nurtured, and provided additional training and certifications to improve their careers. Additionally, so long as you get good grades, we will even pay for any college course where you get a B or better.

We want to see you succeed and grow together - what is good for you is good for Linde.

Reinvestment into our Company

Linde Headquarters

In 2014 we built a new, state of the art, corporate headquarters in Pittston Pennsylvania. With our location in reference to the Marcellus region, convergence of interstate 81 and turnpike, being directly between Scranton and Wilkes Barre, and just 3 miles from Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport, our headquarers is in the ideal location to facilitate business. For this reason we have reserved ample work and meetings spaces to accommodate our partners while they are in town, and regularly host round table discussions attended by industry peers, partners, and politicians so that we can drive NEPA's infrastructure forward.

Maintenance & Shop Facilities

To provide the range of services Linde offers, we are maintaining over a thousand pieces of equipment at any given time. We are storing miles of pipe whether that be for public utilities or Marcellus gas. Often, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, we are fabricating mechanical fixtures on location before being brought on site. This takes space. We have invested in a 15k square foot, loaded with 4 electrically operated overhead cranes, 6 heavy duty mobile vehicle lifts, diagnostics, fluid delivery, welding, and pneumatic, and slab heating systems...it has few rivals in the region. We've also invested into a dedicated paint shop, fabrication facility, a supply yard, multiple pipe yards, and transloading facilities in Binghamton, Sayre, and Carbondale.

Equipment Investment

Linde regularly takes on some big jobs, and to do that you need the team, and they need the tools. We are in a constant state of equipment acquisition. Among the 1000+ pieces of equipment Linde maintains, we have over 60 excavators and 25 dozers, a fleet of earth movers, dump trucks, best in class service trucks...but our pride and joy is our tesmec trencher. It is one of two in North America, and sixteen in the whole world, and can make a trench a quarter mile long in a day, or an eighth of a mile through solid rock without any drilling or blasting. Needless to say, we are not afraid of giving our team what they need to get the job done right and on time.

Our Community

We never lose sight of the reason for our existence. We are creating infrastructure to support both the residents and businesses of our area, and ultimately restore, maintain, and improve the standard of living and our economic capabilities. We are also certain that when the Linde trucks come into town, there will at least be some period of time where we can be a bit of a nuisance and an inconvenience….this is just the nature of the type of work we are doing.

We know that our responsibilities don’t end with delivery of the work we were contracted for, and equally aware the delivery is not an “ends justifying the means” situation. How we do our work and the impact we have extends beyond that. Some projects leave us in the community for extended periods of time. We essentially become part of the community. As such, we’ve raised money for families in need when there have been house fires, on several occassions have assisted with flood clean up efforts, but then there are the little things, like making a kids day by giving him a hands on tour of the equipment he has been watching us use for days.

We are not just working in the community, we are a part of it, and it is our joy to make it a better place for all of us to enjoy!
